2 Days Tour From Fes To Merzouga Desert of Sahara And Back

• Around 8:00 AM, as previously arranged, our team will meet you at your accommodation in Fes to begin your unforgettable 2-day journey to the Sahara.

• Our first stop is the charming town of Ifrane, known as the “Little Switzerland of Morocco.” With its alpine-style architecture and pristine streets, it holds the title of the second cleanest city in the world.

• A short drive later, we reach the Cedar Forest of Azrou, home to the famous Barbary macaques. Enjoy some time to stretch your legs, take photos, and interact with these playful native monkeys.

• We then head towards Midelt, a town nestled between the Middle and High Atlas Mountains, known for its apple orchards and mineral mines. Here, you’ll enjoy a relaxing lunch before continuing your scenic journey.

• Our route takes us over the Tizi N’Tighamt pass (also known as the “Camel Pass”) and through Errachidia, before stopping at a panoramic viewpoint overlooking the lush Ziz Valley, famous for its date palms and dramatic scenery.

• From there, we continue through Erfoud—renowned for its fossils and date production—before reaching the gateway to the Sahara: Merzouga.

Desert Experience Begins

• At the edge of the dunes, your camel guide will be waiting to take you on an incredible camel trek into the heart of the desert. The ride lasts about 1 hour and 20 minutes, with a magical stop atop a high dune to enjoy the sunset over Erg Chebbi—a truly unforgettable moment.

• Along the way, your guide will capture memorable photos of your adventure.

• Upon arrival at the luxury desert camp, you’ll be welcomed with traditional Moroccan tea and sweets. After settling in, dinner will be served—featuring delicious local flavors.

• The evening continues around the campfire, with live Berber and African drumming under a star-filled sky. Dance, relax, and soak in the magical atmosphere of the Sahara.

• Overnight stay in a Luxury Desert Camp.

• Rise early to witness one of the most spectacular sunrises over the dunes of Erg Chebbi—a magical moment as the desert slowly comes to life under golden light.

• After enjoying breakfast at the camp, you’ll return to the village either by camel ride or in a 4x4 vehicle, depending on your preference.

• Once back at the village, meet your driver and guide to begin the return journey to Fes.

Scenic Journey Back to Fes

• The drive takes you once again through the Ziz Valley, offering stunning views of palm groves and dramatic landscapes.

• We pass through Errachidia and head back to Midelt, where you’ll stop for lunch in this charming town nestled between the High and Middle Atlas Mountains, known for its mineral mines and apple orchards.

• After lunch, the journey continues through the Cedar Forests of Azrou, with a stop to see the famous Barbary macaques in their natural habitat.

• Next, we arrive in Ifrane, often called the “Switzerland of Morocco” due to its alpine architecture, clean streets, and peaceful ambiance. You’ll also have a chance to visit the iconic stone lion statue, one of the town’s most photographed landmarks.

• Finally, we continue to Fes, where we’ll drop you off at your accommodation, marking the end of this unforgettable Sahara adventure.
